Welcome to Gallopin’ Goose, the original Western bar and restaurant in Coolidge, Arizona — where the beer’s always cold, the burgers are always hot, and the music never stops. Since 1935, our place has been a cornerstone of this small desert town, serving up good food, good times, and great live entertainment for locals and travelers alike.

We’re proud to say we hold Pinal County’s very first liquor license issued after Prohibition. That’s right: when Arizona was finding its post-Prohibition rhythm, we were already pouring whiskey, flipping burgers, and hosting live country bands in our honky-tonk bar. Over the decades, our dusty little watering hole has seen it all: cowboys, rockers, ranchers, bikers, and everyone in between. We’re not just a bar: we’re a piece of Arizona history.

When you walk through our doors, you’re stepping into a place that’s been part of Coolidge’s story for nearly a century. The Gallopin’ Goose started as a classic honky-tonk joint with live country music, a few pool tables, and even a rodeo ring out back. The spirit of those early days still fills the air, and you can feel it in the floors, the laughter that echoes off the walls, and the sound of guitars tuning up before a show.

Waylon Jennings, the outlaw country legend himself, got his start right here on our stage. Back before the world knew his name, he played for the locals, bringing that signature sound that would later define a generation. And when Rodney Dangerfield needed a break from the spotlight, this was one of his favorite Arizona hangouts; a place where he could grab a drink, tell a few jokes, and enjoy being part of the crowd.

Every other Sunday, we keep the weekend energy rolling with another live show.
